What scuba fabric actually is
A double-knit with a slight spongy thickness to it. The point is that it holds its shape: it does not cling, it does not crease through the day, and it keeps a clean line where a jersey would go soft. It looks sharper than a sweatshirt but wears just as comfortably.
Why buy it as a set
Matching top and trousers in the same fabric reads as an outfit rather than separates, so it does the work of tailoring with none of the stiffness. Worn together it is polished enough for the office; split up, the trousers go with a knit and the sweat goes with denim.
The shapes
Pintuck trousers — a pressed front crease that gives a trouser line without a formal fabric. The core of the collection.
Piping trousers — contrast detail down the leg, a sportier read.

Sizing and lengths
Scuba trousers come in Petite, regular and Tall lengths as well as the standard size range, so you can get the leg length right rather than turning up a hem in a fabric with body to it.
Looking after it
Wash cool and skip the tumble dryer — heat is what flattens the loft that gives scuba its structure. It needs no ironing.
