Choosing your red
Burgundy and wine are the easy entry point — they behave almost like neutrals and sit naturally with brown, navy and grey. Cherry and true red are louder and best kept as the only strong colour in the outfit.
How to wear it
One red piece, everything else quiet. A red top with denim, a burgundy knit with brown trousers, or a red bag against an all-cream outfit. If you want more, go tonal — burgundy with cherry works, burgundy with orange-red does not.
Red is also the simplest way to dress an outfit up for an occasion without reaching for sequins.
